The area is not to bad if you like outdoors things. The Umpqua runs right thru towne and has some of the best and most difficult fly fishing. THe locals also float the river in the summer.
Other then outdoors things there really is not a lot to do though. There is one bar that I think we go to on occasion, Rumors. It has failry good music and is the local young crowd hot spot.
There are two movie theatre’s in towne, the one that looks newer echo’s.
The best place for a gym membership is probably the YMCA. They give scholarships if you fill out a form telling them how poor you are. And the facility is pretty nice. I think the majority of us all go there.
